- Free shipping is for registered customers only, you must be logged in for the free shipping code to work. (Not available for guest checkout.)

- Free shipping code is good for standard 10-14 day ground shipping on qualifying orders of $100 or more.
- Free shipping is not valid for AK or HI shipments.
- Free shipping code is valid on hundreds of items, however due to weight and/or size of some products, free shipping is not valid on all products. However, when coupon code is used, free shipping will still be applied to all qualifying items in cart resulting in an overall discounted shipping cost even if not all products in your cart qualify.
- Free shipping code must be used at time of order and cannot be applied to previous orders.
- Free shipping code may not be valid with other promotions or special sales.
To ensure the fastest delivery of goods to you, we ship your Green Home order by UPS, FedEx or US Postal Service, whichever is most efficient in the circumstance. Most items leave our warehouses within 2 business days from the time you place your order. (Often quicker!)
Once shipped, our shipping charges and ship times are as follows:

3-7 Days Ground Shipping- actual costs calculated at time of checkout based on weight and distance.
2 Day Expedited Shipping- actual costs calculated at time of checkout based on weight and distance.
All shipping charges are calculated directly from the shipping carrier as actual cost and are subject to change at any time and without notice. We at Green Home make every effort to keep your prices as low as possible and do not inflate shipping charges beyond what we are being charged. You pay what we pay. Shipping times are calculated from the actual ship date and do not include weekends or Holidays. Shipping refunds are not given for delays due to weather, mis-delivered packages, or other means that are out of our control.
Due to fuel surcharges and shipping costs, made to order product production times, extra heavy or bulky packages, and keeping live beneficial garden insects and worms alive during shipment, not all products will qualify for all shipping methods. The shipping methods available at time of checkout will be determined by the actual products in your cart and if one or more item does not qualify for expedited shipping, the entire cart will not qualify. Sorry, only one shipping location per order. In addition, these brands typically do not qualify for free shipping: Pacific Rim Furniture, Heart of Vermont, Vivetique, Clean Environment Company, BioKleen, The Green Spot, and BioBag. Green Home only offers shipping within the United States. We apologize for any inconvenience.

a word about packaging: being green means shipping green
Green Home takes the shipping of its products and the impact that we have on the environment quite seriously.
At Green Home, we realize that being green doesn't stop with the product. If you receive shipments from us with non-green packaging (e.g. polystyrene "peanuts"), we sincerely apologize. This sometimes happens because products are shipped to you directly from the manufacturer or distributor, using whatever they have available including recycled package materials.
As we generate more business, we gain additional leverage and are better able to influence the choices of our vendors. We are already working with our suppliers to provide our products in sustainable and innovative packaging material. We know it matters to you as much as it matters to us, so please take a moment to read the letter that we've sent to all of our vendors on your behalf.
In the meantime, recycling polystyrene packing material is easier than you might think. While most municipal recycling programs will not accept them, almost all retail packing & shipping stores, such as UPS, FedEx, Mailboxes Etc. are glad to get them. Who knows, the new friends you make down at the shipping store just might come in handy around the holidays!
green home's shipping philosophy
When you order from most companies or even pick something up from a store, the product you receive has been shipped at least twice - once from the manufacturer to the warehouse, and then again from the warehouse to you or the retail store - and in many cases multiple times as it is moved from warehouse to warehouse. Green Home's products are shipped directly. So although there can be an added environmental cost in having multiple packages delivered vs. just one, Green Home's model often cancels out - or improves on - existing wasteful shipping processes. Also, we strongly encourage our drop-shippers to use a minimum of packing materials, and always try to sell our products in as large a grouping as possible.
We acknowledge that multiple shipments can be a bit more awkward for you, but just think of it as getting a bunch of presents that you get to open as they arrive. However, we could never offer the selection we do, or learn what you really want, if we didn't do it this way. It allows us the flexibility to offer the items you want all in one place.
In addition, by using our vendors as virtual Green Home warehouses, we are able to:
- carry a far wider variety of products
- add and remove products much more easily and economically
- keep up with the latest innovations in green products and services
- utilize your feedback and reviews to determine what products to carry

easy return policy
Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. If you don't like a product for any reason, let us know! You have the right to send it back for a full refund or store credit (minus shipping) within 30 days of purchase. You must call us 1.877.282.6400 or email us (info @greenhome.com) prior to returning the product in order to receive the proper return address and verification. If an item arrives defective or damaged, we will refund the original shipping cost as well, and pay to have it returned back to us. If an item is returned to our office without notice, it is subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Returned items must be in saleable condition, and must be returned with the original carton, packaging material and packing slip. Used personal care products, consumable goods, shower filters, water and air filters, and mattresses, unless defective, cannot be returned. Returns will not be accepted if item has been used, soiled or washed. We have the right to refuse any items returned to us that do not meet these requirements.
Made to order items such as organic shower curtains and organic table linens are subject to a 25% restocking fee if returned or canceled before shipment. There is a 15% restocking fee charged for all returned LED holidays lights and a 25% restocking fee for all compostable food service products. Orders that are alive (such as bio-beneficial bugs and worms) cannot be returned, but if they arrive dead and we are notified the same day they arrive, we will send a replacement. All returned composters must be unused and in saleable condition, and are subject to a restocking fee. Schneider Laboratories and Techtron home testing kits are eligible for exchange only.
Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. Please be aware that you are responsible for items shipped back to us. To ensure your return is properly tracked and accounted for, we recommend that you purchase delivery confirmation and shipping insurance. Pre-paid return shipping labels are only supplied for items that arrived damaged, defective, or was not the correct item listed on your order.
If you would like to exchange something, please place a new order for the desired item and follow the return process for the item you want to exchange.

if your order does not arrive
You can track your orders by logging into your acount to find out when it is expected to arrive. You can also contact us and we will happily assist you with locating your package. We will do our best to assist with re-directing the shipment to ensure you receive your package.
We make every effort to have your products arrive in the best condition possible, however if your order arrives damaged please contact us within 2 days of receiving your delivery. Do not return the merchandise until we can determine the reason for the damage. Retain all packaging and contact us at 1.877.282.6400 immediately.
