Solar fan kits are great for greenhouses, kennels, barns and attics where AC power is not available.
The solar module runs the fan at full power in full sun and at a slower speed in overcast weather. Operation is automatic. When the sun shines on the solar module, the fan begins to operate.
The reversible, ball bearing PM motor allows the fan to be used for intake or exhaust by reversing the wire at the motor.
Our larger fan has three 16 inch steel blades mounted in a square steel venture. It can deliver 1000 CFM when the module is in full sun, and requires a 18 inch round or square hole for mounting.
The smaller fan has 12 inch blades, can deliver 550 CFM, and requires a 14 inch hole for mounting.
These solar fans include our venturi fan, a 20 watt solar module with a 20' cord and mounting hard-ware. This should be everything you need. Of course, depending on how you are mounting the unit, you may need other things. The 12" fan sits in between 16" on center studs, and the 16" fits between studs that are centered between 24", which is another common building mesasurement. The full fan kit including housing once its mounted is 20" square. The 12" fan kit is 15" square.
