Powertraveller's Solarmonkey gives you a boost through its 2 folding solar panels, which generate an electric current when exposed to light, which in turn charges your device. Not only is this device practical and functional, it is eco-friendly! It comes complete with a velcro strap, enabling you to attach it to a rucksack - perfect for keeping your gadgets charged while you're trekking up a mountain.
Capable of charging and working with both sunlight and incandescent lighting, the versatile eco-friendly solarmonkey conveniently charges standard mobile phones, iPods, PSPs, specific digital cameras, and PDAs in almost any location. For most items, 8-10 hours in good light will give your mobile device a full charge.
Specifically designed to work with the solarmonkey, the included solarnut reserves redundant solar energy so that if a sunny day turns cloudy whilst you're using your solarmonkey, charging of your device is not affected. It will regulate the supply of power to your device.
The solarnut can also be used as a stand alone portable emergency charger, providing you with up to a quarter of mobile phone power or at least 15 minutes of talk-time. To make the most of your solarnut, recharge it (via solarmonkey) at least once every 2-3 months. (It takes 4 hours to charge the solarnut).
