These are totally compostable, clear, lockable, food salad bowl containers. Sleek and attractive, they are made of a special kind of cornstarch which ends up totally clear, just like conventional items. However, instead of being plastic, they're made from corn resin - how great is that? When you put the lid on properly, it locks tight, keeping the contents secured. This salad bowl has a patented lid -- As you push it down, friction locks it in. You know it's locked when you can't twist it. When you want to open it, pop the tab on the side and the lid comes off smoothly! You'll never have to put a rubber band on these PLA salad bowls to keep them closed!
