Sometimes it's hard to avoid using or receiving a plastic bag, but that doesn't mean you have to throw it away! Minimize your use of plastic bags by reusing the ones you have! This sustainable wood bag dryer is handmade in Vermont, and makes it easy to wash and re-use both plastic and cotton produce bags. It's much easier than draping them over the dishes in the dish rack, and is also has an aesthetically pleasing design that makes a nice addition to any kitchen area! This sustainable wood bag dryer is made from both Forest Stewardship Council Western Red Cedar, and wood that is harvested locally according to AMP (acceptable management practices) guidelines. The AMP refers to Vermont's Acceptable Management Practices Program, which has designed scientifically proven methods to prevent any mud, petroleum products and woody debris from entering waters of the state. The Original design is rectangular in shape, and is available as either a counter top or wall mount. There is also a heart shaped design available as a wall mount. When you are not drying any plastic bags, all sticks store in the base of the product. Reusing the plastic that is already out there is important, for plastic is made from a nonrenewable resource (petroleum), is non-biodegradable, is toxic and creates litter which blows around, fills landfills, and creates huge clean-up costs.
