In colder climates be sure to use the winter jacket (optional) which can accelerate the composting process during winter, for the composting slows down due to low air temperatures. The jacket should be fitted when the average temperature falls below 40° F and removed when the temperature is consistently above 50° F. But, don't forget to remove the jacket when the temperature rises, because if temperatures get too hot the creatures which make compost can die, halting the composting process.

Once you set up your Compost Bin, you can use that compost to fertilize your new Eco-Friendly Garden and water it with water that you've saved from an economical Rainwater Harvesting System
