Carved from pine, which is a lighter wood that takes 1/2 the time to mature compared to hard woods such as oak/maple, these toys are light enough that any child can easily play with them around the house or take them along for a bigger adventure. Made in Minnesota, USA, these handcrafted toys have been constructed by their original master craftsman for over 35 years.

Fun facts: The mills that harvest the trees for Doodles replant 4 trees for every one that is selectively harvested, and do not do clear cutting. Selective harvesting makes wood more expensive, but is absolutely necessary for the future of a healthy environment.
From there the production begins. Wood is cut and hand sanded. All pieces are wood glued and hand finished in a child safe oil. The only thing left is a small amount of sawdust, which makes its way to the neighbors' chicken coup, horse stall or to the toymaker's compost pile. Nothing goes unused!
