Sally Fox researched and experimented for ten years to cultivate a naturally colored cotton seed capable of yielding a fiber long enough to be spun into yarn. Her colored cotton is naturally resistant to pests and naturally colorfast so the fabrics don't fade. FoxFibre™ Colorganic® Comforter Covers come in green stripe on a cream background, in a super soft, medium weight chambray.
Green Home recommends using bedding made from 100% chemically untreated cotton. Cotton breathes more easily than synthetic fiber and helps dissipate body heat, so you won't wake up with the cold, clammy feeling that synthetics can create. Increased air circulation means that you will sleep cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Cotton lasts longer than synthetics too. Research has shown that cotton outlasts synthethic materials by a 2-to-1 ratio.
Our organic cotton is grown and processed without oils, defoliants, pesticides, or artificial fertilizers, and certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Much of the bedding available from major retailers is made from polyester, and permanent-press sheets are treated with formaldehyde.
