The Solar Sun Ring is a recyclable and renewable pool heating device made from 2 layers of heavyweight UV resistant vinyl. 57% of vinyl is made from common salt (a renewable natural substance), thus allowing for Solar Sun Rings vinyl to be 100% recyclable and renewable.
The upper clear layer holds insulating air and focuses sunlight on the blue colored lower layer, which absorbs about 50% of day time sunlight and converts it to heat - that's 21,000 BTU per day! And at night, the contained air acts as an insulating blanket to retain heat gained during the day.
Unlike traditional pool heaters, Solar Sun Rings emit no toxins in the air, require no maintenance or no professional installation, and need no external energy source other than the sun to operate!

Solar Sun Rings are also available with an anchor feature. A vinyl sleeve is underneath the ring itself, so when the ring is placed in a pool, the sleeve is filled with water and anchors the ring to that spot. This ensures that the ring heats the area you want and will not be moved by wind or other unexpected weather conditions.
