The powerchimp works by using the two included rechargeable AA batteries to power your devices and will recharge most standard mobile phones once fully before the batteries in the chimp will need recharging (not suitable for power-hungry smartphones such as iPhone 4/3GS or touchscreen MP3 players such as iPod Touch). We also now include two clever little adaptors that you can put two AAA rechargeable batteries (not included) into and then pop them into the powerchimp unit, so the powerchimp will run off AAA as well!
Powertraveller has used Pulse Charging technology in order to ensure long battery life. Powerchimp can provide up to 48 hours of extra power. Powerchimp recharges in 5 hours when connected to a laptop via USB; the AA rechargeable batteries charge in 2 hours. LED light indicates when device needs to be charged and when charging is complete. Also has a safety feature to protect against overcharging!
