d-Limonene

Used in cleaning products, paints, pet flea-control products, and lice treatments. There has been some evidence of neurotoxicity and carcinogenicity.

DEET

(N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide) is a pesticide and the most common active ingredient in insect repellents. It is also an effective solvent, capable of dissolving plastics and synthetic fabrics. This toxin is known to cause harm and death to wildlife and studies have shown its negative effects on humans such as seizures and insomnia.

dioxin

A highly toxic byproduct of industrial chemical processes, dioxin forms when chlorine is exposed to extreme heat. Commonly found where industrial waste enters the water, dioxin is most prevalent in waste from pulp and paper mills. Studies link dioxin to birth defects, cancer and damage to the human nervous system. Nearly all Americans are exposed to harmful levels of this toxin, and the EPA acknowledges that Americans are born with dioxin in their bodies.

dust mite

Far too small to be seen with the naked eye, dust mites, their body parts and feces are the single most common allergen people inhale in their homes. Dust mites live on human skin flakes and are most commonly found in mattresses, bedding, carpeting and upholstered furniture.Dust mite colonies thrive at 70% humidity and can be diminished by eliminating moisture in the air.

dyes

A dye can generally be described as a colored substance (organic or synthetic) that has an affinity to the substrate to which it is being applied. The dye is generally applied in an aqueous solution, and may require a mordant to improve the fastness of the dye on the fiber.
