Plastic bags are choking the earth, filling up our landfills, and leaching chemicals into our food and water supplies! Let's work together to make the SMALL changes that make a BIG impact on the planet. After all, as we like to say at Green Home, "It's our environment."

*Please be aware, there is a $20 restocking fee per item returned, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please contact us for return authorization and correct shipping address before sending.

Each year, 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide. That’s nearly two million plastic bags used per minute! For this convenience, we are paying a tremendous environmental cost.

- A single plastic bag can take up to 500 years or more to degrade.
- Plastic makes up nine-tenths of all the trash floating in the oceans of the world.
- Scientists estimate that every square mile of ocean contains approximately 46,000 pieces of plastic.
- Over 100 million marine animals are killed each year due to plastic debris in the ocean.
- Microplastics are in our food chain and are a significant threat to human health.

BioBag is a world leader in providing compostable bags and films. Unlike regular plastic bags, BioBags are made from plant resins, vegetable oils, and compostable polymers that can be consumed by micro-organisms in our soils. Therefore, BioBags can be composted along with your organic waste to keep it out of landfills, and out of the ocean! The BioBag brand is recognized as the best in the business.

BioBag® is a world leader in providing bags and films for the collection of organic waste for the purpose of composting. Our mission is to keep organic waste from ever entering a landfill. Unlike regular plastic bags, BioBags are made from a resin derived from plants, vegetable oils and compostable polymers and can be consumed by micro-organisms that live in our soils. Because of this, our BioBags can be readily composted along with organic waste at municipal composting facilities.

BioBag isn’t a large petroleum-based plastic bag company that now conveniently dabbles in the new business of compostable bags. We are a small, privately owned company dedicated to only producing certified compostable bags and films. The resin we use is sourced from Italy, as there is no “compostable resin” supplier in North America that can guarantee a resin that is based on GMO Free crops. The resin is then blown into compostable bags and film at our production facility in California.

Over the years, the BioBag brand name has become synonymous with high quality, certified compostable bags with consumers and businesses across the country. We work closely with community governments to establish food waste separation programs and help educate consumers on the benefits of keeping food waste and other compostable items from entering landfills. BioBags play an important part in the collection of organic waste for composting. Simply said, “We Get It!!”

Today, BioBag is the leading retail brand of compostable bags in the country! More consumers use BioBags than all of our competitors combined. We are proud that “You Get It,” too!!! Little steps really do make a BIG difference.
