About Green Home's Formal Approval Process

PRODUCT APPROVAL BASED ON SCIENTIFIC METHOD

Green Home's product approval policy is based on a rigorous and scientific methodology that the company strives to make as transparent and open to scrutiny as possible. The company uses an Advisory Board, comprised of environmentalists, scientists and green product experts, who advise on all products and help us determine their environmental qualities. With the President, Product Approval Department in-house, and Product Approval and Advisory Boards out-of-house functioning as Green Home's version of the executive, legislative and judiciary branches of its "government," Green Home is attempting to build a Product Approval methodology with true checks and balances, unparalleled in the industry.

PRODUCT APPROVAL PROCESS KEPT SEPARATE FROM PRODUCT PROCUREMENT

Green Home's product approval process is part of the company's editorial functions, not its Product Procurement department. That means no matter how excited one of our buyers gets about a product, or how great a deal we get on it, without approval from the Board of Advisors, we won't carry the product. The Director of Product Approval can veto a product as well.
