Green Home Earth Day Giveaway - Contest Rules

Thanks everybody for entering our Contest! All the winners have been announced, and you can see them here! If you want, you can still tell us what you did to go green and who knows, we might send you something anyway!

The Green Home Earth Day Give Away (the Contest) is only open to entrants aged 18 and over and residents of the USA. Directors, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management and employees) of Green Home, Inc. or the agencies or companies associated with this Contest are ineligible to enter. By entering this Contest all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.

Contest can be entered by writing Greenhome.com at earthday@greenhome.com, or viewing the contest submission page and submitting a green, or environmentally friendly, activity that the entrant accomplished over the last year. Any single green deed is worthy of submission. Entries will be judged on creativity, novelty and potential to be helpful to others. Submissions must be 250 words or less.

The Contest starts, and entries are valid from, 6:00 am EDT on April 7, 2010, and the Contest ends on the midnight before Earth Day, which is April 22, 2010 (the Contest Period). Thereafter, all entries will be invalid and cannot be redeemed with this or any other Contest.

The Prizes consist of 100 individual eco-friendly prizes available to be won directly following the Contest Period, each prize consisting of a green product identified on the prizes page!

Green Home, at its sole discretion, will determine the 100 best entries, and assign at random the 100 individual prizes to the winners.

Entries with incomplete or invalid information will not be accepted as valid entries into the Contest.

Unless entrants expressly agree otherwise at point of registration, personal details other than name and the Green Idea submitted will be used for no other purpose than for entry into the Contest. Entrants information shall be kept completely private as per Green Home's privacy policy.

There is a limit of two entries per person per day, whether entered online or by email. Only one prize can be won by any individual.

Winners will be notified by an instant on-screen confirmation on Greenhome.com on April 22, 2010, and / or by email.

Winners should receive their confirmation notice within 24 hours of entry, but may take longer due to operator traffic which is beyond Green Home's control. Green Home accepts no responsibility for any entries that are lost or delayed, or which are unable to be sent due to lack of network coverage, human or network error, or for any other reason beyond its control.

All winning entrants require Internet access and a valid e-mail address to claim their prize.

All prizes will be delivered within 21 days of being claimed by responding to email.

No cash or other alternative prizes are available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, Green Home reserves the right to award similar prizes of equal or greater value.

If prize items do not arrive in a satisfactory condition, participants have up to 28 days to contact Green Home Consumer Relations to request a replacement. In the absence of such notification the participant will be deemed to have accepted all items. Items correctly supplied in accordance with the claim cannot be exchanged unless found on first use to be defective.

Green Home accepts no liability for system failures regarding product fulfillment, on websites or for text entry. Neither can Green Home be held responsible for the failure to fulfil the obligations of any of the promises which due to circumstances beyond its control it is unable to fulfil, or based on the actions of any third parties involved in this Contest, although Green Home will always endeavour to minimize the effect on entrants of any such failure.

Green Home accepts no liability for damage / injury to persons, their mobile phones or their computers resulting from any attempt to access Greenhome.com or participate in the Contest.

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, or in the spirit of the promotion, Green Home may, at its sole discretion refuse to process a claim. Green Home will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

Attempts to enter Contest more than twice in one day shall be deemed an infringement of these terms and conditions.

Winners agree to take part for free in any publicity for the Contest that may be organized by Green Home.

Green Home reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this Contest at any time with no liability to any entrant or any third party.
